Nova Labs – Educational Animation
Guided by the principle that “the best way to appreciate science is to be involved in it”, NOVA Labs is a series of educational online activities and videos.
Each Lab is supported by animated shorts, and I was commissioned to design and animate these four videos on the theme of Cybersecurity. We created an isometric universe populated with colourful characters whose exploits cover a range of topics. In A Cyber Privacy Parable, uploading an ostensibly harmless photo leads to a series of tragedies for hapless Tim. Elsewhere, we explore the idea of hacking or how cryptography is part of our everyday lives.
NOVA is a long-running popular science show on American non-profit broadcast service, PBS.
