Vlad Filat – Prime Minister of Moldova
Lurking in a crevice between Ukraine and Romania skulks the Republic of Moldova, landlocked, poor, and riddled with territorial disputes. To the east lies the scarcely recognised Transnistrian Republic, whose leader will reveal their undergarments soon. Until then, we give you Vlad Filat, without his trousers on.
Vlad heads a three-party coalition government that emerged out of a troubled election fraught with accusations of rigging and subsequent riots. These cannot be easy underpants to wear, but Filat models them bravely in order to instruct you in the ways of stately brief-wearing in this humble corner of Europe.
In so doing, he joins the increasingly engorged assembly of pant-wearing excellence that is World Leaders in Their Underpants. Welcome, Vlad.
