Viktor Yanukovych – President of Ukraine
The largest country wholly in Europe is Ukraine, but it runs entirely on Russian gas, preventing the enormous Central European state from turning fully in either direction.
Balancing atop this giddy East-West whirligig is Ukrainian president, Viktor Fedorovych Yanukovych. Jailed twice for violent assaults in 1967 and 1970, this didn’t stop Viktor from being elected first prime minister (2002-2004) and subsequently as president.
And that’s good enough to admit the former-convict into the company of World Leaders in Their Underpants. Make room.
