Social Media Week 2011

irkafirka at Social Media WeekDuring Social Media Week 2011 “The word of mouth people”, 1000heads, hired irkafirka on behalf of their client, Nokia, to illustrate comments. Over the course of the week we delivered 17 illustrations, 12 of which originated from comments on Twitter from cities as far apart os Beirut and Bogata, and the remaining 5 were based on internal discussions between Nokia employees about social media.

These latter illustrations were doubtless greeted with the same bemusement we used to encounter when providing a similar service for the Nokia Conversations blog. Users would arrive looking for information about new handsets and be greeted by excruciatingly literal visualisations of comments that had been left on the site.
