Complete Control won the 2007 Interactive Children’s BAFTA for The Secret Show website. As the lead creative on the project, I was particularly proud. I’d worked on it from the initial pitches to BBC Worldwide and the show’s creators, Collingwood O’Hare, through to delivery and subsequent updates of this surreal universe of futuristic espionage.
The quality of the site owes a lot to the originality of the show that inspired it, and the extent to which Collingwood O’Hare made rich animated content available to us so we could flood every corner with surprising interactive elements. It was also a pleasure to have many of the ridiculous gags I wrote survive Tony Collingwood’s editorial axe.
The site includes one of the best versions of the arcade classic, Space Invaders, anywhere on the web – Spiderbike Attack.
