Ikililou Dhoinine – President of Comoros
Comoros is a federation of autonomous island states between Madagascar and the African mainland. The presidency of this archipelago rotates on a four-yearly basis around the three main islands. It is currently the turn of Mohéli, which joined the nation of Comoros in 1975, left in 1997, and joined again in 1998.
This little island has its own president, Mohamed Ali Said, but Ikililou Dhoinine has the honour of straddling the federation, and thus it is the Mohélian pharmacist who represents Comoros in our compendium.
He joins the dizzying whirligig of World Leaders in Their Underpants here.
