Ban Ki-moon – Secretary General of the United Nations
Another world leader who isn’t a head of state, but if we can include Sepp Blatter, then there’s surely room for Ban Ki-moon, Secretary General of the United Nations. The mission statements of the UN and World Leaders in Their Underpants have a lot in common, it’s just that we aim to prevent war through ridicule, and our membership is broader than the UN’s 192 member states.
Ban-jusa (“The Bureaucrat”), as he is known in his native South Korea, is always on the UN’s vintage blower to some world leader or other, and in his role as the world’s chief peace-keeper he’s doubtless made some of those late night calls in his underpants. He is now standing unopposed, like Sepp Blatter, for his second term as Secretary General.
Now he joins the pantheon of World Leaders in Their Underpants, many of whom he’s probably called for a soothing word or two.
